1. Where can I dispose of household hazardous waste, electronic wast, propane tanks, etc.?
Monroe County has opened Ecopark which provides residents with a facility to bring and dispose of household hazardous as well as electronice waste, propane tanks, etc. There are regular collections (no fee) Wednesday - Saturday from 7:30 am to 1 pm. 2. How big of a tree stump can I put on the curb?
Tree stumps are not picked up by the Village of Pittsford. The Town of Pittsford, where the Village brings our brush and leaves to, prohibits us from dumping tree stumps, according to their regulations.

3. Can the Village DPW pick up items such as appliances, couches, and other household items?
No, these items need to be picked up by your private waste hauler.

4. What are hazardous waste materials?
A complete listing of what is considered an acceptable hazard waste for disposal can be found on Monroe County's website at www.monroecounty.gov. A schedule of dates and locations is also provided.

5. How do I dispose of hazardous waste materials such as paints, paint thinners, household chemicals, auto fluids, propane tanks?
The Village of Pittsford does not pick up any hazardous waste materials, however, the Town of Pittsford Highway Garage annually holds a hazardous waste drop off date, usually in the spring. For the Town Garage, please call 585-248-6270. You may also contact Monroe County for an appointment at one of their facilities to dispose of wastes. The number for Monroe County is 585-753-1080.
